Who you are dealing with

The publisher of Clipperbench is the controller of whatever personal data this site processes, and there is no parent company behind it. The site runs without accounts, logins or a comment system, which is why the list below is as short as it is. Requests about your data go through contact page.

Data we hold

Very little, and none of it asked for. Serving a page leaves the usual delivery records on our host (request address, browser user agent, page, timestamp), kept to run the site and stop abuse — not to profile readers. Beyond that we hold only what you type into a signup form on this site.

Cookie use

Strictly necessary cookies only. We set no advertising cookie and no cross-site tracking cookie, so there is no consent banner to click through.

The mailing list

Your address arrives only when you type it in yourself, and it goes toward what you signed up for. It is never sold, rented or passed on. One click on the unsubscribe link in any email ends it, and we do not ask why.

Where it goes and how long it stays

We use outside services for hosting, payment and email, and they may sit in another country under standard contractual safeguards. Nothing is kept longer than it is useful: your email goes when you unsubscribe, and order records are kept for the period bookkeeping law sets.

Certain links on this site are affiliate links, meaning a purchase made after clicking one may earn us a commission at no additional cost to you. What we cover, what we recommend and what we criticise is decided independently of those arrangements.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it — write to us and we do it. If you are in the EU or the UK, that is the GDPR; if you are in California, the CCPA gives you the same practical rights, including the right not to have personal information sold. We do not sell it to anyone.

Under-16s

Nothing here is aimed at children, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone under 16. If a child has sent us data anyway, say so through contact page and it goes.

If this notice changes

A change in how data is handled is a change to this page, and the date at the top is what tells you it happened. Nothing is mailed out, because there is no list for it.
